... Haha, you've got me there. Well, I'm not sure if we'll really be "fine", but I guess we've got no other choice. Let's try going down another hallway, then... though, hmm. Hold on a sec.
[He steps back, as a magic circle forms underneath him (sorry if this catches you off-guard, Kashuu). After a few moments, a man with wings of ice appears, without a word.]
Go down this hallway— [i.e. the dark and suspicious one] —and see if you can find what looks to be the exit. If you do, try and find me again... and don't fight anything, if you can help it.
[Still silent, Sergio departs, leaving behind chilled air in his wake.
... It's never really the best idea to let summons leave your side, but in a completely unfamiliar place without his usual back-up, that's a risk Karl decides he'll take for now.
[IT IS A LITTLE STARTLING. Some warning next time, Karl?! But for now, Kashuu regains his composure pretty quickly considering it's not the first time (and it won't be the last time) that he sees some weird shit without warning.]
Is that guy gonna be okay on his own...?
[Even summons need a little worry sometimes, okay... Not that Kashuu actually knows what he is. THAT SAID, time to tackle the other hallway! Honestly, all of these look pretty sketchy, but that's... fine...
He'll turn on his heel after one last look toward Sergio, making sure to stay in front just in case Things pop out of nowhere.]
... He should be. It's a little complicated, but he's a spirit—and I mean that in sense of him having died a long time ago, so he can't be permanently damaged.
[Since, well. Already dead, and all. Harm in general (and temporary incapacitation) can still be inflicted against Sergio, though, which is part of why Karl isn't too comfortable with not being there, but it is what it is now.]
Though I can't be completely sure with this place...
Oh... Huh. Well, can you sense him or anything? It's best to keep an eye out just in case, 'cause the enemies around here can be kinda hard to predict.
[As Karl's already guessed...
On the plus side, nothing unpredictable pops out over here! But it doesn't seem like this hallway leads anywhere particularly fascinating either, honestly.]
["PROBABLY". He's so good at this being reassuring thing, wow, it's incredible. Anyway, as they go down the hall, Kashuu's attention is caught by one door in particular. The light that filters through the window there is brighter than anything else he's seen so far, so he pauses.]
Also NICE TRY!! Kashuu just trots his way ahead of Karl as he's approaching the door, since no newbies are getting toasted on his watch, okay. But fortunately, there's... nothing at all behind the door itself but another hallway. This one is much more well-lit and clean, though.]
... [He sticks an arm into the room and waves it around, but it doesn't get severed by lasers or anything or broken by ghosts so IT'S FINE.] Doesn't seem like a trap. Let's go.

And he can most definitely tell that Kashuu is pulling shit out of thin air.]
... I don't think that's a foolproof method to get un-lost.
no subject
[A LITTLE HUFF. He doubts it, punk!!
Unless he actually does have a better idea, in which case Kashuu will just softly bite his tongue and not say anything.]

With that, he turns back to Kashuu.]
All right, let's go.

[Following Kashuu!]

[Karl's getting a little tired of all this building-wandering... Exploring wide and open areas is vastly preferable to this, wow.]

Hey, should we try that door?
no subject
... Light filtering through a window is either a good or really bad sign, and since Karl doesn't know which one it is—]
Sure. It doesn't seem like we have any better options...
[—he'll be taking the initiative to step towards it, because hey, if something horrible happens, then hopefully at least Kashuu will be safe??]

Huh... Going in the right direction, maaaybe?
no subject
Maaaybe. [Oh dear, Kashuu's speech mannerisms are starting to rub off onto him.] ... That, or we're walking right into a trap. Hard to say.
no subject
Also that is a curse, truly, so good luck Karl.]

[And in he walks. FOOLPROOF.]
